London Porter

Apperance: The beer is clear dark, dark, dark red, almost black, has a tan slightly uneven head, some lacing and curtains. (4)
Aroma: A dry wood smell, some coffee and smoke, sausages and beef jerky. (4)
Taste: A small initial sweetness, some dried dark fruits, then burnt bread crust, coffee beans, soy sauce and a "barky" bitterness. (4.5)
Palate: Medium high carbonation, a slightly coarse dryness, a good body. (4)
Overall: A dry elegant brew, good with cheese, ham etc. (4)
