Apperance: For an Ardbeg quite dark, golden Sauternes, clear and good curtains. (4) Aroma: Iodine, heather, pears, peat, tar. (4.5) Taste: Warm sweet honey and heather, fruity notes, then peat and toast. More smoke and burned notes when watered down. (4) Palate: Warm, oily and smooth. (4) Overall: A young hot Ardbeg, needs watering down to flourish, lack some cask character. But very good anyway. (4.5)
