Old Slug Porter

Apperance: The beer is black with ruby red tones, has a tan head, leaves good lacing. (4)
Aroma: The smell is rather weak, roasted malt, toast, some dried fruits. (3)
Taste: The taste starts with burned bread crust and dark toffee and brown sugar, then dried dates and figs, some modest bitter zest finish. (4)
Palate: The carbonation is medium light, a fresh feeling, almost ended in a coarse dry spell. (3.5)
Overall: A good and well balanced porter. (4)
