Apperance: The beer is black, very black, has a brown high head, leaving some lacing. Good curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell is roasted; bread, dark coffee and wood. Sweet dried fruits, dates, figs, raisins, some earthy aromas as well. (4)
Taste: Tastes burned brown toast, strong coffee, some vinous tones; Madeira, Sherry and Port. A cherry seeds bitter finish. (4.5)
Palate: Medium high carbonation, a huge body, soft and slightly oily finishing off in an dry dryness. (4)
Overall: Complex, demanding and rewarding. Liquid candy. (4)
