Apperance: The beer is light amber/orange in color, has a light beige foam that recedes leaving some lacing in the glass. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is mostly grapefruit and orange and floral notes, not very dominating - but this bottle was a bit cold (abt 7 C). (3.5) Taste: The taste is very well balanced, some faint sweet notes in the bread area, citric tones giving acid and a nice hoppy bitterness. (4.5) Palate: It feels very refreshing with a nice carbonation. (4) Overall: Shepherd Neame is claiming to be the oldest brewer in Britain, and they haven't survived brewing bad beer IMHO. (4.5)
