Arboga Julöl

Apperance: This beer has a rather thick dark beige foam, leaving residues on the glass. It is dark red-brown (not at all golden as the label says). (3.5)
Aroma: There is not much smell, some malty tones, a bit of raisins and orange. (2.5)
Taste: The taste is first rather acid (pure, almost chemical), then there is some burnt malt and dark bread. A (also pure) bitterness is noted. (3)
Palate: The carbonation is good. (3)
Overall: On the positive side very little sweetness which with the sour and bitter tones makes it a good beer for traditional Christmas food. (3)
