Apperance: The brew is foggy dark brown, a tan high head with good lacing. (4) Aroma: The smell is sweet and herbal, reminds me of an liqueur, but also figs, toast, and coffee beans. (4) Taste: Tasting sweet, fig marmalade, sherry, dark chocolate and herbs. (4.5) Palate: Little carbonation, smooth and oily, a big body, a warm feeling. (4) Overall: Very nice with cheese after dinner. To me this is more like a Belgian Strong Dark Ale. (4.5)
