Apperance: The beer is dark, almost black with hints of ruby, probably clear. A tan high head that settles slowly and leaves loads of lacing. (4)
Aroma: Smelling mainly of smokey peat, almost burnt rubber, sweet dried fruit nuances, and hopps, grass. (4.5)
Taste: The taste starts with dark sugar and bread, burned crust, charred wood, smoked sausage, sweet dried fruits, dates and figs. Some lemon zest. (4.5)
Palate: Little carbonation, soft, sticky and oily, a huge body, a dry finish. (4.5)
Overall: Lots of things going on here, in a well balanced taste explosion! (4.5)
