Mjølner Barleywine

Apperance: The brew is clouded dark amber, orange and brown nuances, an off-white slightly yellow head that settles slowly and leaves lots of lacing. Good curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell is sweet, dried fruits, rasins, korinths, liqueur, but also cheese and yeast. (3.5)
Taste: The taste starts sweet, brown sugar, fig marmalade, vinous with sherry and port, cloudberries, peaches, a small bitter citrus peel ending. (4)
Palate: Litlle carbonation, small bubbles, soft and sticky texture, a good body, a warm dry finish. (4)
Overall: A rather accessible barley wine, very young and sweet. A bit unbalanced sourness after a while. (3)
