Apperance: The beer is hazy dark copper toned amber, has an off-white that settles quite quickly leaving no lacing. Do not have much curtains. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is sweet and full of dried fruits, raisins, dates, apricots, but also nuts and bread, has some yeast character. Almost too thick. (4) Taste: Starting with malt, porridge, molasses, then sweet brown sugar, raisins, plum jam, some Sherry. (3.5) Palate: Little carbonation, small soft bubbles, a soft, smmoth almost sticky texture. Not dry. (3.5) Overall: Once again, an American version of a Belgian style that is far too sweet. Well done, but does not talk to me. (3)
