Apperance: The beer is clear deep amber with hints of red, small bubbles, the head is tan, settles quickly and a bit unevenly, good lacing and some curtains. (4) Aroma: The smell is citric and floral, sweet oranges and clementines, fresh grass and birch leaves, some malt notes, brown bread mainly. Fresh, balanced and inviting. (3.5) Taste: Initial taste is of brown sugar and ditto bread, a slight ripe lemon sourness, then a rather alkaloid bitterness that actually reduces the overall expression for me. (2.5) Palate: Medium low carbonation, very small bubbles, rather soft and small body, then a long coarse dryness. (3) Overall: Started of well this one, then a bit of a let-down. (2.5)
