Apperance: The brew is clear deep amber, an off-white head with good lacing. (4) Aroma: The smell is rather weakly of bread, toffee, fruits and hay. (3.5) Taste: Tasting of brown bread, caramel, pears and peaches, a small grassy bitterness. (3.5) Palate: A medium carbonation, soft and refreshing, a light dryness. (4) Overall: A nice easy ale. Has survived for 200+ years for a reason. (3.5)
