Apperance: Clear deep amber with copper tones. (4)
Aroma: Sea, salt, iodine, sherry, wet wood, moderate smoke, some tar and peat, (4)
Taste: Initially some butter scotch, then brown bread, raisins, sherry. Sea weed. Mildly smoked salami. More sausages when watered. (4)
Palate: Soft and round, rather fresh, a slightly warm finish. (4.5)
Overall: Well balanced, a typical Islay malt. (4)
