Apperance: The beer is dark brown with ruby hints, tan high head that settles rather quickly, but leaves good lacing. (4) Aroma: Burnt wood, some earthy nuances, a dark dried fruit sweetness. (4) Taste: The taste starts sweet, dark syrup and sugar, sweet dark bread, dried figs and dates, some bitter oranges and bitter lemon peel. (4) Palate: Medium low carbonation, soft and thick texture, syrup-like, a full body and a slow dry finish. (4) Overall: hard to pinpoint, but I get a bit unevenness in the taste and texture, maybe needs a few years of storing. (3.5)
