Apperance: A clear deep amber beer, an off-white rather modest head, but some lacing is left. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is malty, bread, porridge, some hay. (3) Taste: Upfront sweet, brown sugar, dark bread, bitter orange and grape-fruit peel. (3.5) Palate: Medium high carbonation, a refreshing texture with lively medium bubbles, medium body and a dry tail. (4) Overall: A slightly above average Christmas beer, in my reckoning. (3.5)
