Apperance: The beer is pitch black. The head is light brown, creamy, leaving some lacing, and has good curtains. (4.5)
Aroma: The smell is very much raisins and currants, sherry and Madeira. (4)
Taste: The tast is (of course) sweet initially, dark sugar, raisins and dates, vinous, dark chocolate. (4)
Palate: Medium carbonation, a full body, soft and oily. (4)
Overall: Really a very nice, but young, IS. Would be interesting to store for a few years. (4)
