Apperance: The beer is dark brown, nearly black, a tan head, good lacing and some curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell has roasted tones, sweet dark fruits like raisins and dates and dark chocolate. (4.5)
Taste: The taste is sweet, brown toast, dates and some very dark bitter chocolate. (4.5)
Palate: Medium carbonation, small soft bubbles and an oily sweet feeling, a dry finish. (4.5)
Overall: A really good balanced beer with lots of malty tones. (4)
