Apperance: The brew is clear brass amber, an off-white large head, that leaves little lacing. (3.5) Aroma: The smellis sweet, dominated by the honey and the sweetgale (Myrica gale) or bog myrtle. (4) Taste: The taste is consistent with the smell, honey sweet, the sweetgale, and very little bitterness. Very modest in hops. (3.5) Palate: Medium carbonation, refreshing and rather light in the body. (3.5) Overall: This is probably about what beer was before hops really entered the arena, less bitter. But not a bad brew at all! (4)
