Beer Geek Breakfast (Bourbon Edition)

Apperance: The beer is black, with a brown rather modest head, leaving little lacing. But good curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell is fudge with nuts and vanilla, almond, but also some saw dust and alcohol. (4)
Taste: The beer is sweet, dried fruits, figs and dates, some wood and bourbon character is noted, as well as a licorice nuance. (4)
Palate: Medium carbonation, warm, oily and complex body. (4.5)
Overall: A bit sweet, but a very lovely dessert beer (not really breakfast I dare say). (4)
