Apperance: The beer is very dark brown, clear and with a thick beige head that leaves some lacing. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is initially intensely roasted coffee beans, then dark toast and sweet dried fruits. (4.5) Taste: Tasting of burned dark bread, smoked sausage, the dried figs and a dash of sherry. Rather sweet. (4) Palate: Medium carbonation, soft and rich body, a nice dry finish. (4) Overall: This was a really nice well balanced porter, a bit on the sweet side. (4)
