Apperance: A cloudy dark brown brew with a persistent beige head leaving some lacing and a curtain. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is ripe with sweet dried fruits, cheese, sour creme, sherry, port and dusty old wet hay. Yummy complexity! (4.5) Taste: The taste is equally complex as the smell, sweet malty beginning. A dry course feeling of ripe cheese. Licorice, burning spices, bitter cherry seeds and yeast. (4.5) Palate: Rather well carbonated, an oily and spirited feeling with a dry aftertaste. (4) Overall: This beer contains so much that it needs to be savored by it's own. (4)
