Apperance: The beer is a clear dark amber with hints of copper, an off-white rather small head that leaves very little lacing. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is mainly malty, sweet fruity aromas, raisins and figs, some citric notes, lemon and orange. (4) Taste: The taste is rather sweet, honey, apricots, sweet dark bread, some grassy and floral notes, and a rather balanced bitterness at the end. (4) Palate: Medium carbonation, rather smooth feeling, some spritzy whirls but yet a dry finish. (3.5) Overall: In all a well balanced and good ale. Goes nice with not too spicy barbecue. (4)
