Apperance: The beer is black, very black, with a possible hint of brown when being poured. The head is beige, settles slowly and leaves lots of lacing. (4.5)
Aroma: The smell is roasted tones of malt and caramelized sugar, typically burnt bread, dark roasted coffee and sweet licorice. (4)
Flavor: The taste has sweetness, dark syrup, a dry burnt roasted flavor. A warm and persistent bitter experience. (4.5)
Palate: Low carbonation, small bubbles, a soft feeling. (4.5)
Overall: The beer is good, but for me I like more roundness, the bitterness stands out a bit too much. Should possibly be stored for a couple of years. (4)
