Apperance: A black beer, with a hint of brown, and a beige creamy nice head. Not much lacing though, mostly due to the slow settling. (4.5) Aroma: A smell of roasted malt, some coffee beans, but also some sweetness and fruitiness (raspberry and plums). (3.5) Taste: The taste has roasted notes, some coffee and chocolate, a bitter finish that stays a while. (3) Palate: Low carbonation, a watery feeling, combined with a dry aftertaste. (3.5) Overall: This is the classic Guinness, and the draught system works fairly well. However there are far better stouts. (3)
