Apperance: A clear amber beer with a high firm off-white head leaving lots of lacing. (4.5) Aroma: The smell is full of citric and floral hops, grape-fruit, bitter orange, flowers and pine. A metallic spicy finish. (4) Taste: The taste is also dominated by the hops. But first a syrup sweetness, some lemon sourness, and and a bitterness like grape-fruit peel that remains. A good balance. (4.5) Palate: The carbonation is low, a very smooth feeling and yet we have a distinct dry finish. (4.5) Overall: To me this was a very nice experience. The rye might have balanced the hops very well so it didn't become to floral. Stands well in comparison with oversea variants. (4)
