Blizzard Imperial Porter

Apperance: The beer is very dark brown, could go for black, a tan head that dissipates rather quickly leaving some lumps, and much lacing. Some curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell is roasted stuff, bread, grain, coffee beans. But sweet dried fruits are there as well, predominantly raisins and figs. (4.5)
Taste: Staring very sweet, brown sugar in dark syrup, malt, like burned toast, a bit smoky, licorice and very strong coffee. (4)
Palate: Little carbonation, huge body, a smooth syrup feeling. A bit oily and a bitter finish. (4.5)
Overall: This is very good, and I have hopes that it will improve if stored. (4)
