Apperance: The beer is clear copper brown, a small warm off-white head, little lacing, good curtains. (4) Aroma: Smelling of whipped eggs, fruit marmalade, some alcohol and spices (cinnamon, clove). (3.5) Taste: Starting sweet brown bread, brown sugar, bitter orange marmalade, apple peel. (4) Palate: Medium high carbonation, soft and smooth, small foamy bubbles, a big body and a long dry finish. (4.5) Overall: Very sessionable, in spite of high ABV. Also shows that they knew how to brew really good and strong ale, the 19th century Britts. (4)
