Apperance: The beer is very dark brown, almost black, a very small beige head leaving no lacing. (3.5) Aroma: Smelling of dark roasted coffee and heavily roasted malt, almost burnt grass, a hint of sweet dried fruits and port wine. (4) Taste: The taste is sweet, dates and dried figs, sherry as well. Bitter tones, dark coffee and cocoa beans. Well balanced. (4.5) Palate: Medium carbonation and a nice dry feeling. (4) Overall: A very good balanced porter. (4.5)
