Baronen

Apperance: A clear deep chestnut amber brew, an off-white head, good lacing and some curtains. (4)
Aroma: Smelling of toffee, muffin batter, butter scotch, nuts and almonds. Some vanilla. (4)
Taste: Starting with brown bread, brown sugar, syrup, dates, raisins, sherry, some bitter orange peel. Eggnog. (4)
Palate: Medium carbonation, small bubbles, smooth, oily, sticky. A warm feeling (of alcohol), a big body. (4)
Overall: A very sweet and warm barley wine. A real candy shot. Wonder how it will mature? (4)

Bottle 330 ml. This was the 2010 vintage, 10% ABV.
