Apperance: A small bottle (0.25l) filled with a near black beer with a nuance of dark brown. The rather small head is brown and leaves lots of lacing. (4)
Aroma: The smell is sweet, dark dried fruits, figs and dates, coffee tones and chocolate beans. (3.5)
Taste: The taste is smoky, a raisin sweetness, bitter burnt bread giving it a rather dry finish. A complex taste in all. (4.5)
Palate: Low carbonation, lots of stamina in this one. (4)
Overall: This is a beer probably best enjoyed by itself. (4)
