Apperance: A clear deep red-brown-black beer, a tan firm head with little lacing but good curtains. (4.5)
Aroma: An intensely black smell, Chinese soy sauce, rum infused raisins, dark chocolate liqueur. (4.5)
Taste: Very sweet, brown sugar, dark dried fruits, dates, old banana, raisins, brown cask aged rum. (4.5)
Palate: Little carbonation, smooth and oily, a huge body, a small smooth dry finish. (4.5)
Overall: Very nice, works probably well with ripe cheese, vanilla ice cream. Or as dessert by itself. Would be interesting to store for a few years. (4)
