Apperance: The beer is black with a brown head that settles quickly leaving good lacing, good curtains. (4)
Aroma: Typical smells, dark dried fruits, brown sugar, some smoked meat, honey, faint licorice. (4)
Taste: Starting with sweet burned bread, dried fruits, some coffee and dark chocolate, a bitter bean finish. (3.5)
Palate: Low carbonation, small bubbles, smooth and sticky, a big body, a dry finish. (4)
Overall: In all a well done porter, much good sipping properties. It does not feel 8% ABV. (4)
