Apperance: The beer is black with a red hue, a tan firm head, little lacing and some curtains. (4)
Aroma: A dry smell, burned wood, roasted malt. Not very distinct. (3)
Taste: Good chocolate sweetness, a fruity sweet freshness, slightly smokey. (3.5)
Palate: Little carbonation, soft and smooth, a fresh feeling with a light dry finish. (3)
Overall: A nice *porter*, not the stoutish dryness. (3.5)
