Apperance: The brew is dark chestnut, almost brown, has a tan head that settles rather quickly but leaves good lacing. No curtains. (3) Aroma: Much malt tones, a bit sweet dried dates, some bitter oranges. (3.5) Taste: Very sweet, caramelized sugar, sweet dried fruits, dates and figs, some orange peel finish. (3) Palate: Little carbonation, very small bubbles, oily, soft and sticky texture, a slightly dry finish. (3) Overall: I had for some reasons very low expectations on this beer, I was a bit off, it actually has some flavor and bitterness, but at the end it is too sweet for me. (3.5)
