Apperance: A dark brown, almost black brew, a tan good head, leaving good lacing and some curtains.
(3.5) Aroma: A smell of dark coffee, old casks and cured meat.
(3.5) Taste: The taste starts very sweet, brown sugar and syrup, acidity from figs, dates, bitterness from dark cocoa and coffee beans.
(4) Palate: Little carbonation, very small bubbles, soft and slightly sticky, but still a rather thin feeling, a medium body. Little dryness.
(3.5) Overall: A promising porter with lots of good things, should probably be stored for a few years. (3.5)
