Dunkel Lager

Apperance: The beer is dark brown red black ... a tan head, high and foamy, settling and leaving much lacing. Small curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell is brown bread crust, nuts, bitter oranges, wet grass and a mossy earthy nuance. (3.5)
Taste: Starts very sweet, brown sugar, toast, roasted malt, dark dried forest fruits, bitter oranges, grape-fruit peel, some nettles. (4)
Palate: Medium carbonation, small bubbles, soft and foamy feeling, slightly oily with a dry finish. (4)
Overall: More taste and pleasure then expected from a dark lager, for me at least. (4)
